Local, state, and federal government.
Here in Aus we have 3 levels of Government.
Local Government
They look after issues that effect people in the local area. This includes things like:
State Government
Who look after things that effect a whole state, including:
Federal Government
The federal government manage the things that impact the entire country, such as:
It's a hierarchy
So if Local government does something that the State don't agree with, the state can overrule. Same goes for State and Federal.
